I dont know how long i have loved this cute little feline but it has been a long time.
I thought id show you a collection of some of the things i want, no biggie, just a Hello Kitty house and car - normal stuff, right?

My dream house!

Ahhhh - Time to relax in my hello kitty lounge room.

How awesome is this Ferrari? Wouldn't mind picking the kids up from school in this! Not sure Zeppelin would find it as awesome as i would....

On the mornings that i have spaghetti on toast, this would be nice!

Andy bugs me to mow while he is away. I wont unless it is this mower. Nuff said.

Same goes for the mop, my floor would be a whole lot cleaner if this is what i had to work with!

This is me on my honeymoon in Thailand.... Found the best shop ever!

WANT. I will trade the children.

If only i was blogging from this..... There would be a post everyday!

Jasmine might start toilet training if we had this... right?

I would seriously wear these. For those who know me will know I'm not joking!

I'm going to the Hello Kitty Maternity Hospital in Taiwan for my next baby!!!!!

I would probably want to steal all the blankets when i go home!

2 Weeks Until Easter!

I am just so excited!

I am a HUGE chocolate fan so Easter is one of my favourite times of the year!

I have been so busy lately, April is my busiest month (besides December of course!) Lots of people have birthdays in April, its Easter and its also my 2 children's birthday's which always means a party of some sort!
This year, Andy will be away for Zep's birthday - but home for Jasmines... They are 10 days apart so smack bang in the middle of that is Easter Saturday and Andy will be home so i thought it would be PERFECT for a combined Easter Birthday Party! So exciting!
I have been busy planning and buying and organizing... I love birthday parties, probably because Ive never had one. I'm 27 this year!
We will be having an Easter egg hunt and a jumping castle this year, so excited about the castle... last time i had one i was heavily pregnant so i couldn't get in, now you probably wont get me off!
You know what else is awesome about Easter?
Chocolate coated marshmallow eggs......
I just saw one at the shop as i was buying bread and milk.... it took all of my strength not to eat it in the car on the way home! Its only 9:30am and its gone....

It tasted amazing too.... I recently brought myself a packet of pineapple lump chocolate coated marshmallow eggs for myself for Easter, but i saw dark chocolate mint ones today! I will have to buy them too. Oh yum, i cant wait!

I am home with Zeppelin today. Yesterday he woke up with a few spots and a couple of hives so i took him to the doctor and it turns out he has a mild case of chicken pox.... Lucky its mild (because he has been immunised) because I'm sick today too, have the worst cold and feel horrible. I can taste though, woo hoo!
So Zeppelin is contagious and off school till Monday, which means that i cant go to tafe, I'm sick anyway i guess. Jasmine is in daycare still so i will take this time to rest, she has been waking up well before 5am lately and i am just so run down. I thought 5:15am was damn early but id give anything for her to go back waking up then!! that would be a sleep in, haha.

Id better go get some homework done and try and have a sleep if i can. Good luck to me.

Easy Gingerbread Men

gingerbread house cute glitter pictures, backgrounds and images

I Love making gingerbread men with the kids, usually if i have enough time, I ice them differently and use all different colors. Just before making this batch, I realised I only had green food coloring. Oh well.

  • 1 2/3 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp bi carb soda
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 45g butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup (I always add more)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 egg white for royal icing
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar for royal icing
Place flour, bi carb and ginger in a bowl. Rub in butter. Add sugar.
Mix together golden syrup and egg. Add to dry mix. (i sometimes add more golden syrup here.... 1-2 tbps. if you add too much, knead through extra flour.

Mix together to form a dough. Knead with extra flour until smooth.
Roll dough on a floured surface until 1/2 centimetre thick.
Cut out your gingerbread shapes.

Place the shapes on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a moderate oven 10 mins.

Make Royal Icing:
Mix together your egg white and icing sugar and tint with food coloring.

When biscuits are cool, pipe (place icing in a snaplock bag and snip a tiny hole in the corner) on clothes, faces etc and decorate with mini m&m's or chocolate chips if desired.

M&M Cookies

I made these for Zeppelin to take to school, not sure they will last the week! They are so good!!

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • M&M's - Lots!
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 c
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla
  4. Sift flour, baking powder and salt into mixture and blend
  5. Drop dough onto tray 2 inches apart and pile the M&M's on top (the biscuits spread)

    6.      Bake 10-13 minutes till edges are light brown and centre is soft.

Note:- I had to put mine back in the oven as they did not harden enough to even pick up, might be my oven, i don't know. After i baked them a little longer, i let them harden and they were the perfect texture, crisp and light around the edges and just crispy in the middle.

I happened to be making something else as well and had a little melted white chocolate left over so i put it in a snap lock bag and snipped a tiny corner off and drizzled it over the biscuits and topped them with a few sprinkles to make them the ultimate M&M cookie!! Milk chocolate would be extra yummy! I will try that next time!!

Operation Tadpole!

Last week while hanging out the washing, Zeppelin and i found about 400 tadpoles swimming around in the smallest puddle ever in my back yard. The puddle was drying up fast so we rescued all that we could (about 200!) and made them a home. The next day the puddle was dry and the remaining tadpoles had gone to froggy heaven.

Google became my best friend for the next half hour as we found out what to feed them and how to take care of them. I thought back to my childhood when my cousin and i would catch them while my uncle would go fishing and we would take them home.... that's all i remember.

So it was off the the shop to buy a lettuce to boil and freeze for the little guys. We also went to the pet shop and brought fish flakes and a little net. Zeppelin loved it and kept asking when they were going to grow their legs... i told him it would take a little while!! He wakes up every morning and says 'hello my little babies' then we feed them and they go nuts! They love food! All they do is eat, well, they have nothing else to do i guess. Because there are so many, we feed them a few times a day and all the kids in the street come to watch.

I will update this post as they grow, they are actually quite cute, i cant wait for them to get little leggy's!!

Here they are with tiny little legs!! Some of them are progressing much faster than others, there a quite a few with little legs and still a lot of them have none.

I must admit, i am very fond of the little fellows. There was a day when i noticed that they were very slow and sluggish and some of the big ones had started to eat the smaller ones! (eugh!).
I freaked out and jumped online and found out that when they get their legs, the change from herbivores to carnivores and need to eat insects and other foods.
I went straight to the pet shop to pick up a plant for more oxygen and a block of frozen blood worms. Since i have been feeding them blood worms, they have been perfect! I sit and watch them at feed time for so long, they are really amazing to watch.
I must admit..... I accidentally killed about 60 of the poor little guys!! I thought that the tub was over crowded and decided to move a few into another tub. Well, the next morning when i went to feed them, all the ones i had moved were stone cold dead. Not half dead, not some of them dead, ALL OF THEM COMPLETELY DEAD!! I felt so bad and i have no idea why they died????

Fast forward a week and i am watching them eat (They get fish flakes at 6:00am, boiled and frozen lettuce at 12pm, blood worm at 3:30pm and fish flakes again for dinner.) I spy a rather strange skinny looking tadpole and think he has arms.... i haven't even seen arm buds yet! Anyway here is this tiny little frog sitting in the plants, i was soooooooooo excited!! I scooped him out and put him on the rock while Andy ran for the camera, a few seconds after this photo he hopped back into the water, HIS FIRST EVER JUMP!

It wasn't until i saw him here that i noticed he was turning GREEN! A green tree frog! YAY!!
After a couple of days i counted 5 frogs. (almost frogs....) Some are still brown but 2 nights ago i came out to give them dinner and saw this little green guy ready to make his escape!

A New Year!

Glitter Graphics

Happy New Year to all!!

We had such a fantastic Christmas! My cousin and 2 brothers stayed with us for about 2 weeks which was hectic.... i spent a lot of time cleaning.... and drinking!! Christmas Eve was a stressful day, i baked about 100 different things for different people while looking after 2 kids and 4 'grown up kids' (that included my husband!) We went to a Christmas eve dinner at a friends house (amazing food!) and i was just exhausted and ready to shoot the next person that looked my way. I couldn't even fake a smile, and it was Christmas eve! i just couldn't even feel the excitement i was that stressed!

Christmas day was fun, first Christmas with my family in 7 years! I rushed around like a headless chook helping Andy with the ham, unpacking the kids, distributing presents and trying to say hello to everyone. Gone are the days where i just turn up, me and my handbag, sit down and open a drink. Nooooooo didn't even put my drinks in the fridge for a good half hour, then ordered Andy to find me a cup, my drink and some ice while i assembled the porta cot.
Fast forward 2pm and we had drank so much we forgot to eat lunch! (My family drinks, er, quite a bit...) So out came the ham, chicken, prawns and pasta salad. Pretty much only the women ate.... No wonder the males were all write offs a few hours later!!
I wont go on to say what happened later that night but there are quite a few stories to tell!! Apparently all of us in some way 'Wrecked Christmas!' Its alright, no one cared the next day, in fact, they did it all over again!

Some of my family christmas day with my pregnant sister!

Jasmine feeding me a candy cane, YUM!

I had 4 of these loserbags staying with me for the holidays, here we are in awesome novelty sunglasses!
Andy and i took the kids to Rainbow Beach for a few days between Christmas and new year (we go every year) and i left the 3 boys at home (mistake...) Thought it would be a relaxing few days but the weather was horrible and i was in a bad mood the whole time...I came home and had to clean the house after my fun, but messy guests!!

Taking the kids to the beach on the only sunny day.

Me and my amazing husband in our unit.

New Years Eve was awesome for us, its a rare thing that we go 'out' to celebrate due to the kids but this year we went all out!! at 3pm we found out that we could go clubbing to celebrate the night so out came the champagne, dress and heels and we had one hell of an awesome (and expensive) night!!

Zeppelin starts year 1 this year and Jasmine will start Daycare and i will start my Tafe course so I'm in for a busy year! Andy works away in the mines so most of the time i do this on my own.... I'm not looking forward to running 3 of us around everyday ( and paying for it all....) But we will have a good year i hope.

I had better go as we are going to a neighbours house for dinner in 1 hour... I have made curried eggs and Cupcakes (which i am yet to ice).

Better go ice them i guess...
Marshmallow icing too!! Yum!!
